Vireo Health - White Plains
About Vireo Health - White Plains
Located on East Post Road in White Plains, Vireo Health serves both recreational and medical cannabis customers — one of the rarer combined offerings in the state. The 4.2 rating across 429 reviews reflects a mixed picture though. Some reviewers praise the professional service and fast checkout, while others raise concerns about expired or discolored product, limited make-good options, and a clinical or dated store aesthetic that feels out of step with newer adult-use shops. If you're shopping medical and need consistent supply, Vireo's licensed status matters. If you're shopping recreational and have other options, the experience may feel less polished than newer Westchester competitors. Hours are unusually short for the area: 11am to 6pm Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday. That's a real planning constraint. Vireo Health - White Plains works best for medical cardholders who need a state-licensed source. Bring ID, confirm sale terms before purchase, and check expiration dates carefully on anything discounted.
- Medical and recreational both
- Short daily hours, closed Sunday
- Mixed reviews on consistency
- Check expiration on sale items

Professional fast secure good products! Will always come here and recommend.
Made my first medical purchase yesterday. I got 6 cartridges that were on sale due to expiring in about a month. I went home and opened 2 that both had extreme discoloration of the distillate and a strong chemical taste. Received a call back today saying they were only able to offer a 25$ credit for the product but don’t worry I can keep the unusable medicine too!
I had issue with order and price deduction. I emailed cooperate and spoke with John. For the inconvenience I went through, John made it right for me. He gave me excellent discount. John was extremely pleasant to speak with. Thanks for all your hard work that Vireo keeps growing excellent flower. I will be a returning customer for life
The staff here is wonderful. I pick up for my mother all the time and they never disappoint. They have always treated us wonderfully. They’re always so helpful. They’re very knowledgeable on the products they have. Every visit is always engaging and the level of professionalism they have is outstanding.
Vireo Health is one of New York’s too-rare recreational and medical marijuana distribution outlets. You’d never suspect it was legal (or voter approved) by the looks of it. This sorely outdated site screams SHAME, from its bland colors to its bizarrely disguised exterior to its horrendously stark interior. Only a giant skull with crossbones is missing to complete the general feeling of discomfort in this storefront. I’ve argued long and hard against NY’s weird marijuana color scheme. Instead of actual info for best use or flavor or smell, instead of notes about strains and terpenes and trichomes, New Yorkers get arbitrary colors without any reference to reality. As if marijuana had not been in wide and safe use for thousands of years, as if strong or weak and more or less were marijuana’s only attributes…. This dangerously antiquated classification system leaves users unable to select strains for specific ailments. While NY State’s outlandish ignorance of reality may be the laughing stock of the nation, its local impact has been even worse, wiping out millions of investment dollars from would-be growers and distributors who’ve waited patiently for NY to join the 21st century. That oddity is uniquely a NY state issue, easily resolved when a saner, friendlier administration finally takes over. But the problems at this sad little storefront are Vireo’s alone. I’ve found nowhere else in New York or the entire East Coast as dismal, as ashamed, as unwelcoming as Vireo…. But Vireo had a big sale last week and I’m a known sucker for anything better than NY's overtaxed prices. So I held my nose and ordered. Nice to see that there are finally a few strains listed, even actual effects. Plus, of course, their uniquely silly rainbow of colors. I preordered so my “visit” would be as short as possible. Instead, Vireo chose to cancel my order because my registration was outdated. If they’d asked, I’d have sent new info to them. But no, because a phone call was too must, I had to wait. I don’t know what hell might be hidden in their back room but my tiny four-item order took over 20 minutes to fill. Two packs of chewables, two vapes. That’s it. There were zero people in the story – other than the excellent and very accommodating staff. No one came in after me, no one was heading out. Just me in the eerily empty store the entire time. And yet it took twenty minutes for the staff to stick my four little pre-packaged products into a small paper bag…. I paid and left and vowed never to return. Until the next sale, I suppose. The prices really were good. But I’ll opt to have it delivered if I use Vireo again…. This is no place anyone would want to be by choice….
