Trulieve Lakeland Dispensary
About Trulieve Lakeland Dispensary
Trulieve's Lakeland location in the Watson neighborhood on N Florida Ave holds a 4.3-star average from over 1,100 reviews. Hours run 7 AM to 8:45 PM every day, making it one of the earliest-opening dispensaries in Polk County for patients heading to work. Trulieve is Florida's largest MMJ operator, so the menu is deep across flower, vapes, edibles, and concentrates from house brands like Sweet Talk, Co2lors, and Roll One. Reviewer experiences are mixed: budtenders like Frank, Scott, Bryce, Nori, Bradley, and John W. earn strong individual praise for product knowledge, while other patients flag inconsistent service and concerns about jar weights on premium flower. The store uses iPads for product display rather than letting customers see and smell flower in person, which some shoppers don't love. As a Florida MMJ dispensary, a valid medical card is required. If you want early-morning pickup and a deep menu, this Trulieve fits, but check your jar weight at home.
- Opens at 7 AM daily
- Deep house-brand product menu

Customer Reviews
Usually like going here but went here Friday, was one of the last customers right before closing and received a 3.5 that felt unusually light, got home weighed it out and it was only 2 in the jar. I was very upset considering it was the most expensive flower I purchased that day and the main reason I went to that dispensary. Probably won't be returning, as I hear this is a reoccurring thing there.
I had a sour experience today at the Lakeland location. I take accountability on my end but I don’t think I deserved the reaction I got. I suffer from ADHD, PTSD, and anxiety. Today I was really going through it and I was fidgety (because of my condition) so I was tapping my card on the counter and honestly I didn’t even realize that I was doing it. But I guess the girl who was helping me this morning was aggravated with my tapping (understandably) and she kind of rudely jolted at me with an abrupt “CAN YOU STOP” and the tone she used is the kind you’d use with a child who won’t let you talk on the phone. I smiled told her I was sorry and paid for my items and left. I don’t like causing a scene but she honestly made me feel bad because of my of her tone and the way she said it. I understand hearing someone tap can be very unpleasant but she didn’t have to talk to me in the manner she did. If she would’ve politely asked me to stop she would’ve gotten the same reaction she got from me when she was rude to me. I don’t think she should be punished but she needs to be retrained on customer service and how to handle certain situations when customers are being annoying. She’s human and maybe she has something going on with her which caused her patience to be short today, however I didn’t deserve the attitude. At the end of the day she’s working and I’m the customer and that’s not how you speak to people who are shopping and TREATING their ailments. She wasn’t even aware that she was also rude and she didn’t apologize for her tone. Honestly had she handled that situation differently, we probably could’ve laughed about it and moved on. But after this interaction, if I had to shop at the Lakeland store again I don’t know if I’d want her services in particular. I just didn’t appreciate the rudeness and the attitude. Again I take full responsibility on my end, but I’d definitely would like to have an apology for being spoken to as if I were a child. Not appreciated at all
Quality product. The staff was very approachable, helpful, and easy to talk to. Pricing is mid range, and acceptable. Always shop those deals!
Honestly the best Trulieve in Polk County. They are welcoming, professional and extremely knowledgeable on all of their products. I absolutely adore everyone who works here! They're always happy to see me and my dog Sunny 😁
I had a fantastic experience with Nori (hope I spelled that right), Bradley and John W (the best John! Jk there was also a fantastic black woman but she could enter codes maybe a manager, but I didn’t catch her name during my first visit but the second visit to this store was an even more impressive experience). Very attentive answered all my questions, every single one: they didn’t push back at all when I had even the tiniest questions on the turpines or how the active ingredients were isolated— They even entertained questions about whether the Grove was hiring, (because I’ve always been so impressed with the product and these guys’ customer service attitude sealed my respect for this company) I wanted to use my masters in microbiology for Trulieve and they entertained all that. Additionally, they went back and looked for more stuff when I asked multiple times. Now when I walked into the building it was empty, but (eventually) even though there was a line growing and the store was closing soon, they did not show a hint of hesitation or resentment, perfect customer service attitudes, very positive by interacting and communicating in a very helpful way, during the entire transaction. And frankly, the product is a serious medication for me after a massive auto accident left me seriously injured (making me leave the medical field) and so I truly value the employees’ helpfulness and professionalism during what I see as a pharmacy visit—they made me feel like I was in a pharmacy in many respects! Now after I left, I realized that I accidentally left something and had to come back. When I did, the line was completely disappeared, like 12 or 15 people quickly processed, very professional and productive (it must have been that the people present were all online orders but still). When I saw that, I ended up buying more products after retrieving what I left. Very impressive guys keep up the great work. This may have been the best store experience I’ve ever had— between the various visits I’ve had to other stores, including my home store. I wished I lived by this store! Thanks guys, John W, Bradley, and Nori, (And the mystery lady) were great, give these folks a raise and if the grove sees this somehow, please hire me, I am quality and detail oriented, attentive to company goals, published, hard-working and self motivated scientist, friendly to work with, people and work oriented— also I’ve done all kinds of scientific work and I can definitely learn new protocols, from testing for microbes or growing new strains, I want to tackle anything you’ve got and be a fantastic addition to the team.
