Rocky Mountain High | Durango | Canna Castle
About Rocky Mountain High | Durango | Canna Castle
Yes, the dispensary is in a castle. That alone makes Rocky Mountain High on E 36th Street one of the more memorable cannabis stops in Durango. Reviewers reference the castle exterior with the kind of delight that pulls people back for repeat visits — and there's reportedly a friendly dog greeting customers at the door. Owner Ken and the team have built a decade-plus reputation around bulk discounts, fair pricing, and generosity that some customers say goes beyond posted sale prices. The atmosphere reads as chill rather than slick. One honest critique surfaces in reviews: long-running deals like a buy-one-get-one Monday promotion have been retired, which cost the shop at least one loyal customer. With a 4.6 rating across 736 reviews, this is still a deeply established Durango operation. Hours run 8 AM to 7 PM most days, extending to 8 PM Thursday through Saturday. If you want a Durango cannabis shop with personality, history, and a castle, Rocky Mountain High fits the description literally.

Customer Reviews
I used to love this place then they got rid of a lot of deals that kept me coming back. Over the last year I would come every Monday to get there by one get one eight deal. Unfortunately that deal is no longer there so I no longer have my reason to go in the shop. Not the employees fault clearly that’s a management decision but my business is lost being that I live in Durango and am disabled I can only afford to go to stores the days of the deals.
Great selection, awesome team, and fair prices (especially for buying in bulk)! Plus who doesn't like buying grass/wax from a castle or being greeted at the door by a friendly pooch!! :) Been going to RMH at the "Castle" for a decade plus now. Ken and the team are always helpful, courteous, and quite generous with discounts (even beyond posted sales + deals). Came back to the RMH after years away and was gifted a $40+ on-the-go goodie bag (I don't even think the staff recognized me; they're just genuinely rad folks!).
The radio ad says they are the only one with 710 labs and green dot labs but from my local experience I know of at least 4 other dispensary that carry them. A simple menu search on local dispensary will show the guy who does the ad that they are not the only one with those products. Go to the green house, kin folk farms, the rec room and or Durango organics. This place is the most corporate BS store in town. Do better rocky mountain do better. Stop the lies and the misinformation because you are struggling for sales.
Shoo said they were open til ten. Showed up at 945 to him locking up, called. He said “Colorado law prevented him from selling more” told him I was from Colorado and that was untrue. He started cussing and hung up on me. Even if what he said is true, list your times do that. Making sure everyone knows because Rocky Mountain high as a company, has always sucked on customer service
Karissa was super helpful today. The atmosphere is very chill, and you pull up to a castle, so that's cool as well! They'll definitely hook you up with what you want! :)
