About Secret Garden

Sitting on Newport Boulevard in East Side Costa Mesa, Secret Garden leans into atmosphere harder than most dispensaries. One reviewer described it as pure 420 art — walls lined with sports memorabilia, a signed guitar on display, and a fitness angle worked into the layout. The 4.7-star rating across nearly 300 reviews points to a regular crowd that genuinely enjoys the visit, with shoutouts to specific product picks like the Decibel Miyazaki Mango pre-roll. Hours run 9 AM to 10 PM every day. Not every experience has been smooth, though. A few longtime regulars have flagged frustrating moments — unexpected closures during posted hours and tense interactions with security — so call ahead if you're making a special trip. With just an ID you're good to go, and the product selection tends to satisfy both casual shoppers and people hunting something specific. The Newport Boulevard location keeps it accessible for anyone working or living in Costa Mesa and the surrounding beach cities.

Customer Reviews

Kurt Reger

Been coming here every other week for 2 years, somewhat of a regular. Usually very pleasant experience. Went tonight, checked in, walked past the counter to use their restroom as I’ve done several times before and the worker snapped on me and yelled over for the security guard with a gun to run over. Very weird and uncomfortable. Like come on.

Used to love coming here but I wouldn’t recommend even bothering to try here anymore. This business went off the grid and won’t reply to anything. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

Would love to rate this place 5 stars as I’ve greatly enjoyed both times I’ve been here; however the last 2 times I have attempted to come, the store has been closed in the middle of the day. Once at noon on a saturday, the other (today) at 5 pm on a Monday. Both times the gate has been closed and the store is dark during a time they are listed as open. Disappointing, as I love the deals and the quality. Will update if this changes

This is the best dispensary I've ever visited with the most friendly and helpful staff and security. I've recommended secret garden to friends and family and they've also loved the place

Primo….Secret Garden embodies the ultimate 420 vibe, showcasing pure art in every corner. This shop is visually stunning, enhanced by its unique fitness aspect, sports memorabilia, and a signed guitar. The exceptional service helped us discover the perfect products, including a Decibel (Miyazaki Mango) J which I HIGHLY recommend;). With just an ID, you're in for an unforgettable treat at this vibrant and artistic destination. AND be sure to peep the cooler some insane collabs like Pabtts Blue Ribbon HIGH seltzers 💥
