Airport Way Best Bud

My Daily Dispo. Fairbanks has many choices , but Best Buds is my Go-to. Middle shelf flower is always a nice value and the bud tenders are all knowledgeable and chill. Right now I'm on a Blue Dream 5$ pre-roll Jones ....time to voo n smoke

Came 5 minutes before closing even called was told they close at midnight arrived at 11:55 the doors were locked called and was told that they were closed I've been coming here for 6 months won't be back

Stopped in the sister store first....if you ever need accessories, they got 'em. I was looking for a specific item, which, after discussion (pleasant, professional, polite), we decided I needed more research. I was greeted through eye contact and smiles, something missing at another place I had visited ... Braxton, Maia, and Isiah... any of them can help you get on your way... and... accessories a few doors down☆☆☆☆☆

For years, Best Buds has been our reliable go-to establishment for its convenient location, relaxed vibe, accommodating hours, and decent selection of products. Over time, it became a place we frequented for peace and relief, a ritualistic stop that complemented our lifestyle. Unfortunately, recent experiences have greatly diminished this perception, making our latest visit particularly disheartening. What once made this store stand out—its welcoming atmosphere and exceptional product selection—has been on a noticeable decline. During our most recent visit on a Friday evening, we entered the store knowing exactly what we wanted to purchase. However, from the very beginning, the experience fell flat. There was no music to set the tone, no friendly greeting to welcome us, and the air felt stark and uninviting. The vibe that had always made Best Buds a standout was completely absent. Two budtenders were on duty that evening. While one was busy with a customer, the other was seated behind a computer. My partner, a combat veteran with severe mobility issues, and I approached the counters displaying the products we were interested in. At this point, the budtender behind the computer asked us to walk to the front of the store to present our IDs because he did not want to leave his station. This request was particularly insensitive given my partner’s mobility challenges. When I suggested that the budtender meet us at the counter, which seemed like a reasonable compromise, his demeanor shifted. He became passive-aggressive, with Short, curt responses. To add insult to injury, he began addressing my partner with an exaggerated "Yes, Sir" after every sentence, a gesture that felt deeply disrespectful to a veteran. To a combat veteran, this kind of behavior can feel as offensive as stolen valor or worse, an outright insult. This visit, which was intended to be a moment of calm and relief, turned into an upsetting and hostile encounter. After our order was gathered, I asked if the budtender had accessed our account, as he hadn’t requested either of our names. He assured me that he had, but this was untrue. We’ve only ever had one account for financial reasons, and he stated that he had both accounts pulled up. We have points accumulated that were not applied to our purchase. Furthermore, the veteran discount was also not honored. These oversights added to our growing dissatisfaction with the visit. To compound matters, our purchase included 7 grams of flower (I re-weighed at home). The final transaction felt incomplete and dismissive, leaving us questioning the level of care and professionalism we once trusted at Best Buds. We're saddened to share this review. Best Buds, once a favorite stop, has seen a decline in atmosphere and service. We hope this feedback encourages management to restore its former excellence and treat future customers with respect and professionalism.
