Emerald Leaves
About Emerald Leaves
Out on 6th Ave in Tacoma's North End, Emerald Leaves has built a strong local following — a 4.5 rating across 748 reviews backs that up. Regulars describe it as their favorite stop in Pierce County, citing budtenders who actually know the products and a swap policy for defective carts or disposables within seven days (receipt required). Staff like Emmett get name-checked for honest recommendations when shoppers aren't sure what they want. The vibe leans warm and welcoming rather than transactional, and the shop runs community events that reviewers appreciate. Hours stretch from 8 AM to 11:45 PM most days, with Sunday closing a bit earlier at 11 PM. Selection covers the usual flower, concentrates, edibles, and vapes you'd expect from a Tacoma rec shop. If you're tired of dispensaries with weird energy, this one consistently lands on the right side of that. Washington's standard cash-or-debit rules apply, and you'll need to be 21+ with valid ID.

Customer Reviews
My favorite store in Pierce County by far. The budtenders are great, product selection is wonderful, and customer service is excellent. Anytime I have had an issue with a product like carts or disposables, they would swap it out (only can swap if you have a receipt and within the 7-day time frame). Never have ever had a single problem and love the diversity of the staff. The owner, Duane, is so wonderful. I saw recently a review was left by what I can assume is a bitter scammer that likes to cause issues and pick fights with staff over things they are clearly misinformed on and has no business asking. Then again, looking at this person’s reviews from other places, they are just unhappy in life and love to play the victim. Honey, if you can’t afford it, just say that. No one likes a bitter Betty that’s out here lying about businesses because you think you’re owed something. Keep up the good work Emerald Leaves and don’t mind the bitter Betty’s of the world.
Best dispensary in Tacoma. Not only do the staff try their best to create a warm and welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of product knowledge and providing recommendations. I appreciate the community events that the business takes part in and will always stop by when I am in town to see my favorite budtenders! Don't listen to the people who try and scam businesses using their reviews to pressure staff and owners, this is one of the few places that actually will care about what you smoke.
Love this shop, Great staff, always knowledgeable on all products. I’ve gotten some disposable vapes here and they have replaced them if there was an issue (you get one replacement with a receipt)
Been here a couple times now, really liking the vibe! I never know what I want and everyone’s been very helpful with that lol. Last time all I could think to ask was for something that wouldn’t put me to sleep and Emmett was great with advice on what to get. It’s great having a spot like this, some places have the WEIRDEST vibes but this place is very chill
Review – 24 Hours Later Emerald Leaves – Tacoma, WA Product: Green Haven “Purple Urkle” 1g C-Cell Cartridge It’s been 24 hours since my return experience, and I wanted to allow time before giving this review. The issue isn’t just the broken cartridge — it’s the response to it. The budtender told me, very plainly, that they knew this product line had problems. They also said customers could exchange it once, but that after that, “good luck!”. That means the store is continuing to sell a product they know has internal breakage issues — the kind you can’t see until it fails from the inside — while pre-deciding that the customer will absorb the loss. That’s not just a training issue. That’s a customer-service failure with potential legal risk. Good owners protect their brand by ensuring staff know how to communicate issues without sounding dismissive, greedy, or defensive. Saying “we’ll keep your money” isn’t policy — it’s poor judgment. I want to be clear: I’m not calling out the owner personally. I’m calling out a budtender culture problem that reflects leadership gaps. If a store knows a batch or brand is defective, integrity means pulling the product, not passing the risk to the customer. I hope Emerald Leaves uses this as a learning moment — not a PR one. Customers remember when you fix things the right way. #AccountabilityIsEquity
