About Juana's Garden

At 188 River Street in Montpelier, this dispensary holds a 4.9-star rating across 82 reviews and runs the same hours every day, 10 AM to 7 PM, which is unusually consistent for Vermont. Flower gets sold deli-style in glass jars, so customers can see and smell what they're considering before it's weighed. The owners earn repeated mention by name, with one reviewer noting staff emailed during a vacation to confirm a hard-to-find strain was back in stock. Concentrate selection draws particular praise. Beyond retail, the shop hosts free outdoor concerts every other Sunday in summer alongside Bear Naked Growler, mixing jazz, Latin, African, blues, and Americana sets. That community programming sets it apart from shops that operate purely as transactional storefronts. For Montpelier visitors who want a dispensary that doubles as a neighborhood fixture, Juana's Garden has built that role intentionally over time.

Customers mention:
  • Deli-style flower in jars
  • Free summer outdoor concerts
  • Owners actively engaged
  • Strong concentrate selection

This is my favorite place! A chill vibe. Great people and happy faces eager to help with any questions you may have. If you haven't been here you're missing out.

I’ve been a regular here for the last year and I can’t say enough good things. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the owners really care about the experience. The product selection is excellent and they do a great job stocking the things I actually want, especially when it comes to concentrates. Also, their concerts last year were a blast and I’m really hoping they do the summer concert series again.

The products at Juana’s Garden are top notch but the most amazing part of going to this dispensary is the staff. They are kind, caring, knowledgeable, and always willing to go above and beyond for their customers. There was a strain I’d been trying to locate for ages and not only did they find it but they emailed while on vacation to make sure that the staff at the store notified me!

I've been a medical patron of Juana's Garden since it opened and have always enjoyed shopping there. The staff are knowledgable of products' purposes, uses, and benefits. The dispensary and retail spaces are warm and low key with plants, books, comfortable chairs and Nshanda's terrific smile. Easy access from Route 2 or from Elm Street near the LazerWash. It's so good to have Juana's Garden as my go to for medicinal edibles.

Nice people here. Very knowledgeable and outgoing. They procure quality flower, sold “deli style” in glass jars so you get to see and smell what you’re buying. They host FREE outdoor concerts every other Sunday during the summer in conjunction with the Bear Naked Growler. It’s a nice scene, with a good mix of jazz, Latin, African, blues and American music acts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What hours does Juana's Garden keep?
The shop runs 10 AM to 7 PM every day of the week with no variation. That consistency is unusual for Vermont dispensaries.
Are the concerts really free?
Yes. Free outdoor concerts run every other Sunday during summer in partnership with Bear Naked Growler, with sets ranging across jazz, blues, Latin, and Americana.
How is the flower sold?
Deli-style in glass jars, so you can see and smell each strain before it's weighed out. Customers pick exactly what they want by sight and aroma.
Is the concentrate selection good?
Multiple regulars cite concentrates as a strength, with the team stocking products customers actually request rather than only what's easy to source.
