I just have to laugh at the review claiming they discriminate against men and if youre not "lgbtq" you wont be welcomed. So far from the truth, I am a man and come here all the time and they are amazing people and super personable! Ive brought my friends from out of state here and they both loved the experience. If you're getting banned for making staff uncomfortable, I promise its not just because you are a man. You genuinely have to be something that warrants it.

This dispensary discriminates against men and men with disabilities. Several guests have gotten banned for making the sales floor "uncomfortable" without explanation. The floor is filled with community members (LGBTQ members), which is fine, however; these same members discriminate against men, especially men with disabilities (uncontrollable movements with the body). They are allowed to go hide in the back due to the fact they deem these men as intimidating or "creepy". If you are not a member of their community or part of the "In" crowd at this facility, you will be ousted and gaslight into thinking you are a problem. As a business, especially a medical facility one should not allow workers to make fun of or discriminate against peoples disabilities. Men experience bodily pain as much as others do and therefore are allowed to shop for medications to ease pain and not be ridiculed. If any of you guests see this and feel that there have been unnecessary bans or if you've noticed silent and rushed treatment feel free to contact HR for this company. I cannot share the actual email address, however; the company name is Vext Science, Inc. One can find more information from there to advocate for mistreatment. Feel free to not tip for a while if you are considered a "toxic male", which Amie, Amelinda, Kassy and Jersie deem all men to be. This is purely for awareness for the people of Athens who are facing such discrimination from this facility.

(A First-Time Customer's Perfect Experience) ​As a medical patient, I was a little nervous trying a new dispensary, but my experience at the Herbal Wellness Center in Athens, Ohio, was absolutely amazing. ​From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by how clean and professional the establishment felt. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I want to specifically thank the woman at the front desk who helped me print a new card, and the woman in the back with the long wavy dark hair on Register 2—I suck at remembering names, but they both went above and beyond, guiding me through the process and answering all my questions without rushing. ​Not only was the service fantastic, but they offer the best prices around—I was genuinely surprised by the great deals. Best of all, they were so quick! I was registered and checking out with everything I needed faster than I expected. They truly made my first time here an easy, welcoming, and successful visit. I won't go anywhere else!

This was my first experience with a dispensary and truth told, I was a little nervous. I was waiting to be rushed through and pressure sold.Not the case.I was made to feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. Michelle was the one who helped me in the back,she was both knowledgeable and quite pleasant.Quality herb at a better price than I can get around town and employees that actually care to help you.
