About High Altitude Gardens

A small, owner-operated cannabis shop at 1842 Harrison Avenue, this Butte spot punches well above its size with a 4.8 rating across 24 reviews. The grower-owner is the entire show — wears gloves, keeps the place clean, and posts current testing results right on the table when you walk in. Reviewers say the flower is exceptional, with the curing and trimming on par with anything in town and prices that consistently beat the bigger shops. People have driven in from Missoula to grab specific strains, which says something about the cultivation. Hours are tight and not standard: 2 PM to 6:15 PM Monday through Friday, 2 PM to 5 PM Saturday, closed Sundays. That short window means planning a visit takes some intention, but regulars say it's worth the trip. Strong pick for serious flower shoppers who care about freshness, transparency, and the kind of personal attention you only get from a single-operator business.

Customers mention:
  • Phenomenal flower from grower-owner
  • Up-to-date testing on display
  • Beats top shops on pricing
  • Clean, glove-wearing service

I'm torn between shouting from the rooftop that "Yes... dispensaries can have excellent products!" And keeping this absolute gem to the few who already know. I looked at the pics on the web site and thought whatever, Photoshop expert. Then I bought some and at home couldn't resist taking a couple shots with my phone. I think my pics look better. High mountain will be your go-to dispensary once you try it. Beautiful, tasty, unique strains, best part......SMOOTH!! No corporate weed being machine cured here. Old school cool.

This is by far the best bud I have ever had. I drive from Missoula just to get it. He is a rock star and extremely nice and welcoming to me. I highly recommend you pop in. He truly should open up a shop everywhere he would shut down 90% of the other shops.

If you want to talk about the BEST WEED IN MONTANA and you don’t mention high altitude garden YOURE WRONG When I say that every single strain this man drops is some of the best weed I’ve had in my life I MEAN IT! I lived and smoked weed in several places around the world and high altitude gardens is by far the best I drive 2 hours there and 2 hours back home just for this dispensary!

The owner of this business is beyond un responsible! He seems to like to bully people! I would not recommend doing any sort of business with him! There's plenty of other good shops in town, that believe in great customer service!

This man has phenomenal flower. Definitely grows and cures it right. He has some tasty strains and killer prices beating some of the top shops here in Butte hands down. Very clean and wears gloves and super knowledgeable. Also all of his testing is right there on the table when you walk in and it's all up to date. None of that BS couple year old testing.. STRAIN in the video is GMO
