I think I can confidently say that this place has done a complete 180 (at least for now). The people working here seem a lot nicer, and there was a guy at the front desk previously who just had a horrible vibe and was incredibly rude to customers. I complained, and now he has magically disappeared. The girl with the Shang-colored hair is such a great budtender and deserves a raise if she hasn’t gotten one yet. The tall skinny guy is also very kind. Thank you to whoever worked their magic to make this place better. I understand Shang is considered corporate, but that’s okay.
Horrible experience: We use the Bowser Boom B Gone CBD dog treats for our pet who has really bad anxiety. These help her tremendously. Well, Jeff City has been out of them for weeks. I then decided to look online at the Columbia stores to see if they had any in stock. I tried calling and they said they can't tell me over the phone if they have them in and to just look online. Well, online showed they had them so I ordered 3 bags. I then proceeded to drive the 45 minutes to the Superstore. That place was packed when I got there and had to wait 25 minutes in line in the store. When my turn came, I went inside to the counter and told them I had a pre-order. She showed me a stack of receipts that were pre-orders they haven't even gotten to fill yet. She looked through the stack and found my order. Then I am told they do NOT have any in stock and their system did not update the total count of the product. I told them I drove 45 min one way because the system let me order them and now I have nothing to take home for my dog. (and even tried calling before I ordered, but they couldn't tell me over the phone if they had any in stock.) All I got from the associate was a "I'm sorry." That's it, no offer of a coupon or points in my account, nothing! I had already used my sister's bag she had for her dog, so I couldn't even ask her for any. I now have 3 bags I need to replace and did notice this morning they show they have them in stock. Do I attempt to drive 45 min yet again to only be told "sorry". NO!
So, as I walk in and see the radiant beauty behind the counter waving me in with that sparkling smile, I knew I was in good hands! Shawnae is knowledgeable and when I asked her to make a recommendation she made an excellent selection and didn't try to upsell or come straight away with the highest price. She's helped me a few times and she's always on point!
Ben at Shangri-La was absolutely incredible. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. His attention to detail, professionalism, and friendly personality took the entire experience to another level. Ben went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Nothing felt rushed or impersonal. You can tell he takes real pride in his work and truly wants every guest to have an exceptional experience. If you are visiting Shangri-La, ask for Ben. You will not be disappointed.
Yazmin was absolutely amazing. One of the most helpful people I have encountered at a dispensary. Cypress was great at the front and I love the gummy bear earrings! Even got free ice cream!
