About Fly Shifter Recreational Cannabis - Detroit

Over on 8 Mile in Detroit's Farwell neighborhood, Fly Shifter took over the space previously known as Dr. Greenthumbs and rebooted it as a Detroit-rooted recreational cannabis shop. The 4.6 rating across 96 reviews reflects an early-stage operation building its base. Customers describe Detroit hip-hop on the speakers, local culture front-and-center, and a layout that leans into the city's identity rather than corporate sameness. Hours run 9 AM to 10 PM every day, lining up with most neighboring dispensaries on the corridor. Reviewers mention strains like gelato 33 as standout picks, and the budtender team gets praise for patient suggestions during first-time visits. The security and privacy setup at checkout draws specific positive mentions, which matters for shoppers who want a discreet experience. Eight Mile has heavy cannabis density, and Fly Shifter holds a smaller share than the chain neighbors, but the Detroit identity sets it apart for shoppers who want to support an independent local shop.

Customers mention:
  • Detroit hip-hop culture vibe
  • Patient budtenders for first visits
  • Discreet, secure checkout
  • Independent local ownership

Anytime you're in Detroit Michigan I Highly recommend stopping at Fly shifter they have a wide variety of flavors my favorite was the gelato 33🔥🔥🔥 each budtender was patient and showed me all the options I asked for even offered some suggestions too but the most important thing that stood out the most was the Detroit rap culture I walked in and instantly seen multiple Detroit rappers along the Walls and the music was top tier btw I need that music playlist ASAP!!!

I used to go to this place when it was "Dr. Greenthumbs" dispensary. Saw a social media post it's now a NEW dispensary. "Fly Shifter" Decided to go check it out. I was not disappointed. Cool layout w/ Detroit hip-hop & products plugged in. The customer service was 💯 w/ prices to match. A Detroit vibe, location & layout. A TRUE DETROIT DISPENSARY feel. Hopefully they are around for a long time!!! SHOUT OUT TO FLY SHIFTER-DETROIT! Wishing you guys all the best & successful biz.

My first time in Detriot i went to a lot of different dispensaries and fly shifter has the worst people skills. The lady that helped me was not friendly and rude. I tried to be nice thinking that maybe she was having a bad day but that was unacceptable. Makes me not want to ever go back bc of it. I didnt get the lady's name she never said it but I went January 20th in the afternoon.
