I’m from Detroit, Michigan. I stopped here 2 times while being in town for work. I’m a 31-year-old Black male with a somewhat regular look to myself. The 1st day I went, a guy served me and was great at his job. I went back the next day, and a white female with black hair served me. I could tell that she uses social media too much because as soon as we locked eyes, I could literally see her whole demeanor change as if I was there to commit a crime. The 1st day I went, I asked to smell the $55 quarter in the middle shelf, and the guy had no problem letting me smell. The second day I went in, I dam near had to lean over the whole counter to smell the jar because it seemed like she was scared I’d snatch the jar. I’ve been to all 50 states and met a lot of people, so I know when someone is treating me a certain way because of my race and because of the false narratives being painted online against Blacks and other races of people. I simply shared my experience just in case anyone else of color has gone here and felt the same presence from the white lady with black hair. She made me feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, and I was simply there to buy weed and go to my hotel to relax. I ended up throwing the weed away and going to Rhode Island for a pack of Newports to calm my nerves because I felt so uncomfortable after that encounter. It’s 3:21 am 1/20/26, and I’m only writing this because I’m up this early just thinking about how uncomfortable I felt 🤷🏾‍♂️. IM NOT KNOCKING THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOOD PRODUCT AN I CANT LET THE ACTIONS OF 1 person determine my opinion about a whole company…
