About Coastal Roots

Sitting on Congress Street near the Valley Street neighborhood, this Portland recreational shop holds a 4.6-star average across 76 reviews. It runs a fairly standard Portland schedule, with 10 AM to 8 PM hours Monday through Saturday and a shorter Sunday window that closes at 4 PM. Customers tend to praise the ounce deals in particular, calling out reasonable pricing on larger flower purchases. Smaller purchases draw mixed feedback. A few reviewers feel the half-gram infused pre-roll two-packs run higher than competing Portland shops, and the house pre-rolls have picked up criticism for inconsistent rolls that canoe or fall apart. On the cartridge side, one customer reported two carts failing without replacement, though they kept the rating fair. The vibe is described as a small, neighborhood-style spot rather than a sleek flagship. Worth checking if you're stocking up on flower by the ounce and want to skip the more touristy parts of downtown.

Customers mention:

This used to be my go to spot since 2022 . Their quality has gone down so much since then . None of their 22 dollar eighths are more than 20% . You can go to highly and pay 22 and get 23.6%

The prices are far to high for a rec place even for Portland. Weeds fine. But 25 bucks for a .5 infused 2 pack is wild when most places land the same item between 12-15 bucks. Also I'm not sure if the people working there know if they are there or not. It's kinda like work trying to get them to sell you weed. It's just weird. I left feeling uncomfortable and ripped off. But that's just me. You might like paying more money for low quality

Nice little spot, good deals on ounces! I wouldnt get their house pre-rolls, every time I do they either canoe like you couldn't believe or the flower would slide right out of the paper after you light.

Their customer service, pricing and product information as sparkling and breathtaking as their properly cured trichomes. Olivia has great vibes and knowledge. 🙏

Bought two carts. Both carts broke for no apparent reason, and staff refused to replace. (Edited on 02/15/2024). I'm not going to change my review much. I have changed my rating though. I want to be fair. The only thing that prevents this from being a five-star review is what happened. It happens, not every customer can have things work out the way they may want, but I'm a person of integrity and what's fair is fair. They provide quality cannabis products at a very low price and they charge no sales tax, so when it says $14.00 for a vape pen, it is $14. The pen is a nice device. Recently my device took a break, but it's covered by warranty. So I'm not worried. These folks cannot afford to cover a broken product, but they do excellent at customer service, the atmosphere is nice and tidy. They're not an evil corporation and cannot consumer's errors. If they could afford it then I probably wouldn't be coming here. I can't afford it either, but a difference between 5 star service and 4 star service is fair. They may not quite make 5 stars in my opinion, but work hard and provide a relief to others who may not be 5 stars themselves. I still shop here, even though I had a bad experience.
