About The Apothecary Shoppe
Located at 2104 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy, Lafayette, LA 70506, USA, The Apothecary Shoppe serves Lafayette as part of Louisiana's medical cannabis market. Louisiana operates a medical-only cannabis program. A valid recommendation from a licensed practitioner is required to purchase. The 4.9-star rating across 1578 reviews reflects consistently strong customer feedback. One recent customer noted: "It was my first time visiting, and I was very impressed with how organized, clean, and well-managed everything..." — useful color on what to expect. Expect flower, vapes, tinctures, topicals, and approved concentrate. Operating hours: 7 days a week, with the schedule listed on the shop's profile. For Lafayette customers comparing options, this listing covers the practical details — address, hours, rating context, and the regulatory framework that applies. A quick call ahead is a reasonable step for first-time visitors, especially when published review history is limited. For new visitors, the cannabis store category covers a range of formats and price points. Bringing a state-issued ID is wise for any cannabis purchase, regardless of whether the shop requires a card. Many shops in this region build their reputation through repeat customers rather than walk-in volume, so a return visit often unlocks better recommendations and pricing tier access.

Customer Reviews
It was my first time visiting, and I was very impressed with how organized, clean, and well-managed everything was. The environment felt welcoming from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff were friendly. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the cashiers wasn’t good. She is a short older woman with eyeglasses and redish/pinkish hair. (Not the one with the dread locks though). She has very poor customer service skills, was impatient, and came across as rude during our interaction. As a new customer, that made me feel uncomfortable an unwelcome. If she can’t handle busy hours or doesn’t have patience when dealing with the public, this might not be the right position for her—especially since the place is clearly always packed. I would like to end on a positive note. Mr. Kevin was outstanding. He was calm, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly. His friendly and professional demeanor truly saved the experience for me. Because of him, I would absolutely return and still recommend this place.
This place must have great management. The employees are always so spot on and full of great communication. Definitely reminds me of the top shops in Denver. It’s refreshing to have this south of i10. Going to miss having EZ running the deliveries, congrats on the promotion!
I go there with my husband and always find my girl Heather. She really knows her stuff. I haven't been disappointed once! She always very helpful!! We will always shop in opelousas
Love the new store and all the staff makes me smile because there always smiles. Especially today Kyle saw me kinda struggling at the kiosk and came see if I need help which I did. And was so helpful an nice also very knowledgeable. Big plus in my book. Also the girls in the front are always so nice and the cashier. I didn't catch the name of the women that checked me out. But was so friendly an nice. Thanks to all you work here. And for calls service. Im a recovering opioid person. And this place has made my life easier. And not worrisome, being able to come to a beautiful store an not someone spot were they might of had other things. Now I don't have to worry about a split second relapse from buying cannabis the old way. Thank God for this place its really has been a major role in keeping me alive. Thanks all so much. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
(Most Recent: 11/12/2025) They just opened the new store this week and it is amazing. I took a bunch of pictures, because I was so impressed. The building is beautiful and even has a coffee shop. I was able to get my order and go within minutes, because I prepaid. They even have a drive-thru with plenty of parking if you're going inside. This place is so nice. (Update 10/3/2025) The entire system has been improving and I also didn't fully understand the procedure before. You can actually walk-in or order anytime. The appointments are just guaranteed spots. They are also opening a new location, so it may end up being like the store in New Iberia one day. You can pretty much walk in and out there anytime of the day with no appointment, because they only have a fraction of the store traffic that Lafayette does. The prices have also dropped. You can now get ounces for as low as $200. (Older Reviews Below) I order online and pay upfront, but I have to wait a day or so to schedule an appointment to pickup. Then I arrive to see about a 100 people standing around, inside and in the parking lot. I squeeze by them to get to a kiosk to check in. Now it says I'm checked in, but how long do I have to wait. They don't tell you anything and you have to wonder if they even have your order. They have no way of telling you how many people are before you or about how long you have to wait. Do I wait another hour? I already paid, so what now? What about the people that can't wait 2+ hours, when they thought they were just picking up a prescription that is supposed to be ready? Why can't they text you when your name is called, so everyone doesn't have to huddle in a pile at the front door. The bud is okay and prices are not the best, but the government has given them a monopoly, so I must wait .. boom, they just called me up after only 50 minutes. can't really complain too much now, since yesterday was a holiday and some people are waiting much longer than me that didn't pre-order.
