Budr Cannabis - Danbury Mill Plain Road
About Budr Cannabis - Danbury Mill Plain Road
This second Danbury Budr on Mill Plain Road runs a 4.4 rating across 710 reviews, making it a high-volume shop with more polarized feedback than the Federal Road sibling. Positive reviews highlight clean, organized retail and standout budtenders like Dave for unrushed, knowledgeable service. Customers describe Dave as taking time to explain everything clearly without rushing the sale, and several reviews single him out as a reason to come back. Negative reviews concentrate on flower weight shortfalls, with multiple customers reporting eighths arriving under 3.5 grams, sometimes as low as 3 grams, and flower running dry by the time they unpack at home. Hours run 9 AM to 8 PM Monday through Saturday, and 10 AM to 3 PM on Sunday. If you shop here, weighing your eighths at home is a reasonable check, and ask staff about freshness dates on the SKU you're buying. The store layout and front-line service remain a draw for regulars, but quality-control concerns are worth knowing before you spend on higher-end product. Pricing has drawn complaints relative to flower quality in some reviews.

Customer Reviews
The bud is always dry. Never is actually 3.5 grams. Usually 3 or 3.3 grams. And it's so dry it won't stay in the blunt it just falls out. The prices are way to high for the cheap quality they serve. It's basicly thcA from the internet. But older and stale. Never again will I go here
Dave was amazing. From the moment I walked in, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to explain everything clearly, never rushed me, and made sure I felt confident with my purchase. You can tell he actually cares about his customers and knows his stuff. Easily one of the best experiences I’ve had at Budrhi’s. If you’re going there, ask for Dave.
Really, really, really rude and disrespectful customer service. I’ve been using medical mj since Compassionate Care ran a business locally. Also used the Botanist which was just fine—people were real able and they treated mmj patients with respect and prioritized medical patients. However, Budr on Mill Plain is one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had, let alone shopping for weed. I have gone there a handful of times, spaced out over many months, due to bad experiences deterring me. I always preorder and make sure the order is ready before I go to pick up. It is never ready in a reasonable amount of time given how busy the store is. The first time I went to Budr on Mill PLain was when they opened. The old Botanist staff was there, but they were not happy. No one knew what to do with the new system. There was no one on site who seemed to be in charge. Took forever. Those people seem to have all quit. Because I can go to the other Budr, I went there a lot because it was well run. I paid more. The THC level were different. I had already paid to see a doctor and paid for a card. But it was so bad at Mill Plain …. The rules and process for mmj seem to change without notice. Once I was told medical patients had to wait in line like everyone else. I’m disabled and have mobility issues. Why wouldn’t they let me sit? The kicker was 12/24/25. Granted this is not a typical shopping day. After checking in, I walked into the store and there was no staff anywhere. Two people were at the counter. I got in line behind them. I waited for a while. I ask the other customers if there is anyone there. They say yes. More customers come in. Still no staff. A fair amount of time has passed. An employee calls a name. I’m first in line, but it’s not my name he calls. I was told my order is ready. So I said loudly, I was here first —after all I’ve already been there for a while. The employee doesn’t know that because he is paying no attention to his customers. Employee says they have to take people in order. He does not clarify what that order might be. Employee speaks to me and tells me my order is “still downstairs” like that means anything to me or that I would care. I was texted that my order was ready. I got some bs explanation that was mumbled to me about approvals and offsite pharmacists. So I waited. Another customer said I could sit. I guess the rules changed again with no notice. After another 5 or more minutes, my name is called. The man who served me was rude. It was like he thought I should just know that selling mmj was really onerous as opposed to his job. His behavior made a bad situation (poorly run store and no clear ability to process mmj) worse. He did thank one person for his patience, but he was rude to me. I get that the laws change.I get that there are restrictions on both medical and non medical products. But surely you want your customers to return? Surely you want to help and not irritate the medical patients you claim to serve? BTW: Did Budr have to agree to sell medical pot in order to take over that location? They do it abysmally. Use the recreational dispensary across town.
The locations is very clean and organized, employees are always nice and helpful, but on more than one occasion, they have shorted me. It wouldn’t be a huge deal except I’m not being shorted by a little. This is the second time I’ve gone in to buy an 1/8th and it’s under 3 grams. Reduce the prices to reflect the weight shorting. It’s getting ridiculous.
Always very helpful. Knowledgeable staff to help educate you on any questions you may have regarding products, effects of the products, what the product contain you name it and they can help. Wide variety of products and devices for consumption, from inexpensive rolling paper to glass art, very over the top rigs. I am a repeat medical customer and I am very pleased.
