Eureka Sky - - Castro
About Eureka Sky - - Castro
Sitting on 17th Street in the heart of the Castro, Eureka Sky offers a small-but-cute San Francisco cannabis dispensary experience with a 4.6 rating across 141 reviews. The location is convenient if you're near Muni F, and the staff are described as professional with strong product knowledge. ID checks happen at the door — there's a bouncer up front. One quirk to know going in: card payments get rounded up to the nearest $5, with the difference returned as cash. Some reviewers found this confusing or felt pressured to tip the change. Venmo is accepted as an alternative. Hours run 10 AM to 7:30 PM most days, with later closes on Thursdays (8:30 PM), Fridays and Saturdays (9 PM). The store doesn't process credit cards or mobile payments directly. If you can navigate the payment quirks, the staff recommendations and product selection get genuine praise from regulars. Worth a visit if you're in the Castro and need a cannabis stop.

It’s a cute dispensary; however, they round up the card payments with debit to the nearest $5 increment and give you cash and some change, and what do you do? You feel morally forced to place it in the tip container, even if you have already tipped. And for the first time customers, they give you one tiny 20 mg pill which is way too high of a dose and too hard to split. I don’t like such business practices. Won’t go back unless I absolutely have to.
I bought an item for $43 and wasn’t told they would round it up to $50 and give me cash back. However, my card statement shows I was charged $53, and that extra amount was not displayed on the payment terminal. The whole process felt misleading and scammy. On top of that, it took them about 5 minutes just to scan my ID. I regularly go to another dispensary that simply charges the exact amount shown, with no surprises. Definitely won’t be coming back.
I went ack to Angelo a second time, there was more to the story. He sold me crap weed for $60 bucks when I returned the store the next day, I simply gave him the unused half, gave him my 5 word review and left never to return. He did try to reply but "sometimes this happens ", really did not cut it. I felt like his attention this time was somewhat removed from our previous candor. I did not like the flippant answer he gave at all. I just left, so many other places to go. That's what happened, but I will leave it to you to decide what you think. Thanks
Angelo was amazing, helpful and patient with this Chronic pain patient! I had a bunch of questions and all were pleasantly and fully answered. I even made a change mid way through the transaction and I received nothing but smiles and a great attitude! Way better than what I get in SoCal!!! They had the potency I require. And the customer service was way more than I expected! Check these guys out. Later
I discovered this place while waiting for Muni F. I never walked into any similar stores before. The bouncer was friendly. They check ID while you walk in. There are professional staff who give you guidance and recommendations. The only bummer is that they don't do credit cards or Mobile Payments. Thank Goodness they use Venmo. So the payment is either cash or debit card or Venmo. Overall, it'd indeed like a pharmaceutical.
