August 30th was such a fun, chill night at the Tufted Puffin. I usually go out with friends drinking at the bars, but smoking weed in a serene atmosphere with good friends and music was awesome.
I discovered the tufted puffin while visiting Alaska on tour. It is different than any other dispensary I've been to! Rather than the usual sterile environment, they have a welcoming room with brightly colored couches and a homey feel. The biggest difference is a smoking area for on sight consumption and live music! The budtender was unrushed and knowledgeable, answering my questions about tinctures vs edibles. The owners Randy and Jen were on sight and we talked about their vision of making the experience more social and connecting people. Since it's an unfamiliar model, a lot of customers stopped in quickly, but those who'd been there before settled in and made themselves at home. I'd definitely recommend going here if you're in the area. It's the best dispensary experience I've had.
On a recent trip to Alaska the owner of tufted puffin gave me a tour of his latest on site consumption cannabis dispensary. This will be his third tufted puffin in Alaska. This site in Soldotna will be truely unique and in a league of its own. Ribbon cutting is July 3 2024. Bands from the lower 48 are being scheduled for on site entertainment in the near future. This is the grandest scale I have ever seen for a dispensary. And I am from Oregon. You got to check the tufted puffin out in soldotna. This place is it.
